Rainway Support

You can play any PC game you own. You do not need to hop between launchers: Rainway pulls titles from platforms like Steam, Origin, and Epic so you can launch them from one place.

Nothing - Rainway is completely free.

• Yes, your host PC needs to be on to stream.
• You can optionally use a third party app with wake-on-LAN to power on remotely.

Choose quality based on your hardware and connection. If your PC runs the game smoothly and your stream settings match your network, you will get a smooth stream.

• Lower stream quality, resolution, and frame rate if you see lag.
• Prefer wired ethernet, 5 GHz Wi-Fi, or 4G LTE over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and 3G.

Try switching Rainway to use the integrated GPU for this app in the Nvidia Control Panel, then restart Rainway:

1. Right click desktop → Nvidia Control Panel → Manage 3D Settings → Program settings → Add.
2. Select Rainway → set preferred graphics processor to integrated.
3. Restart Rainway and try again.

• Rainway emulates an Xbox controller for client controllers and the virtual gamepad.
• Games without XInput support will not recognize the client controller - use a mapper such as JoyToKey to emulate keyboard input if needed.

• Ensure a mouse is connected to the host PC.
• On the web app, try Ctrl+Shift+C to capture the mouse.
• If needed, press Left Alt + Left Shift + Num Lock, confirm Yes, then in Mouse Keys settings uncheck "Only use Mouse Keys when Num Lock is on".

Apply the same integrated GPU app setting in the Nvidia Control Panel for Rainway, then restart the app.

Install Microsoft's Media Feature Pack for Windows N or NK editions, matching your Windows version. On Windows 10 1909 and later: Settings → Apps → Optional Features → Add a feature → Media Feature Pack. For older versions, download the correct pack from Microsoft. Install Windows updates if the pack fails to install, then try again.

USB controllers should be auto detected. For Bluetooth pairing:

DualShock 4: enable Bluetooth on your device, hold PS + Share until the light bar flashes, then tap the controller in Bluetooth settings to pair.

Xbox Controller: enable Bluetooth, press the Xbox button and hold the sync button to enter pairing mode, then select the controller in Bluetooth settings.

• On LAN, do not block mDNS (UDP 5353). On Windows, enable the firewall rule named "mDNS (UDP-In)" in Domain and Private profiles.
• Ensure WebRTC is allowed in your browser and firewall, and that both peers use the same API key.

Current SDK beta supports streams from a Windows desktop using the Native Runtime to a web browser using the Web Runtime.

Create a connection, then request a stream from a remote peer with Peer.createStream. Listen for the stream event, and close with InboundStream.close when done.
